National Pride

This entry is not very informative, but I couldn't resist :)

As you know, NASA is an American organization. However, space development requires global cooperation, and there are many international people who are involved in NASA projects. They include international astronauts and astronaut candidates. Let us look at some pictures of those bright people. As you see, everybody has his/her national flag on shoulder -- astronauts are a national pride, of course!

Wait, what happened to "the first Turkish NASA astronaut candidate"??

(For a more serious analysis, see this entry).

  1. But the picture is just his head photoshopped into an astronaut's suit. He didn't realize that there are things such as proportions, and his head is far too big for the shoulders in the suit. For example, Hieb's proportions (forehead:shoulders) is 10:35. Anilir is 14:35!

Come to think of it, the picture of the suit looks like it is Hieb's, but cropped and lightened. Let's have a look: I used TinEye (www.tineye.com) to search. And indeed, they find a lot of the photoshopped pictures, but they also find this on spacemissions.de:

It is Hieb. You see, even though the suits are similar, the pattern of the shadows is strangely identical. I loaded both pictures into photoshop and blew them up to 800% - this makes the patterns of the shadows very clear. They are identical, except for the inset head.
